For parents who want the family life they have dreamed of, it’s time to set limits for children without losing their love or respect. Our communication style creates a world for our children. We are modeling for our kids how to behave as an adult. Let’s show them functional behavior that works. Let’s create a world for our children where we show empathy and understanding for them and allow them to figure out and solve the problems that arise in their own life by neutralizing arguing, avoiding power struggles, setting limits with enforceable statements, and sharing control with choices. By allowing them to own their own problems, they will develop a wise inner voice to guide them through life.
